Eric lives in west Asheville, with pavement and a mixed urbanscape to the East. Bent Creek and The Pisgah National Forest expand to the west present almost endless single track and forest roads.
When we began approaching Eric’s bike with the aim was to create a tool to toggle between the two environments. Something equally at home rolling down the block for a pint or ripping down a washboard forest road.
Drop bars allowing for multiple hand positions help out with the full days in the saddle. A dropper seat post was also a must. It was Eric’s idea to actuate the dropper control with the left hand sifter. Finally, it was really important to Eric to allow for a 90mm fork when the rides started to point more towards trail.
